01 / About

Business advice.
With an operator’s view.

Good advice should make the next decision clearer — and the next step achievable.

I’m Farzad Manzouri, a business advisor based in Muscat, Oman. I bring more than 14 years of experience in industrial and FMCG operations, strategy and planning, with a practical understanding of how businesses work on the ground.

My experience includes serving as Managing Director of VatanZarin SPC in Oman from 2023 to 2026, after five years as Director of Business Development at VatanZarin in Iran. I now also bring regional sales leadership experience in Qatar. My industrial engineering background connects business priorities, processes and people.

I work with SME owners, managing directors and investors who need a clear way forward. Whether the challenge is growth, operational performance or entering a new market, I focus on understanding the situation and shaping actions your team can carry through.

07 / Insights

A few ideas
to put into practice.

Short notes on better decisions
and practical execution.

Strategy · 1 minute read

Start with the decision,
not the document.

A useful strategy helps leaders choose what to do, what to stop and where to commit resources.

Read the note

A detailed plan is useful only when it changes a decision. Before adding more analysis, ask which choices are still unresolved.

  • Write down the three decisions that will most affect the next year.
  • Set out the assumptions behind each option and the evidence still needed.
  • Name an owner and a review date for every agreed priority.

Which decision would become easier if your strategy were clearer? That is often a useful place to begin a conversation.

Operations · 1 minute read

Look at the handovers
between teams.

When work slows down, the cause may sit between responsibilities rather than inside one department.

Read the note

Teams can work hard while a process still struggles. Missing information, unclear approval or competing priorities can create friction at each handover.

  • Follow one real order or request from start to finish.
  • Record where it waits and what the next team needs to proceed.
  • Agree on an owner and a clear definition of a complete handover.

Begin with one recurring delay. A closer look at the work itself can help clarify where support would be useful.

Customer experience · 1 minute read

Listen to the customers
you no longer hear.

Your current customers offer one perspective. Those who left may reveal a different part of the experience.

Read the note

Feedback from loyal customers is valuable, but it cannot explain every reason people leave. Include lost customers and unconverted enquiries when examining the experience.

  • Ask where expectations and reality began to differ.
  • Compare what people say with the journey and service records.
  • Choose one gap to improve, then check whether the change helps.

If the same issue keeps returning, it may be worth looking at the process behind it together.
